Bharatiya vidya Bhavan, dedicated to the promotion of Education, Art and Culture, is a Charitable public trust founded by Dr. K. M. Munshi on 7th November 1938. Dr. Rajendra Prasad the first president of India laid the foundation stone of the Bhavan’s Delhi Kendra on 31st March inaugurated Delhi Kendra on 16thMay 1957. What began as a modest effort of a visionary has now become a global network comprising 114 centers in India and 7 test centers overseas.
In year 2002, the most prestigious Gandhi peace prize was awarded to Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan by president of India for its significant contribution towards Education and promotion of peace and harmony among all faiths and communities.
